December PARTY & other events!

Hi Everyone!

Due to the busy holiday season, there will be no Philly Comix Jam meet-up this month. We’ll be back in January, so keep an eye out for next month’s date announcement.

Instead of a meeting this month, we’re throwing a PARTY!

The good people at BYO Printmaking Collaborative (in the Paradigm Gallery building) are lending us their space this week for First Friday to hold a ✨Philly Comix Jam Holiday Hang!✨

We’ll be exhibiting the best, silliest, weirdest, and wildest pages from all the 2025 jams. That means art by YOU! On display! In Old City’s best gallery!

Join us on December 5th from 4pm to 8pm on the 5th floor of Paradigm at this totally free event for snacks, drinks, tunes, a giant jam(!), and the kind of vibes that only comix jammers can bring.

Bring a friend, bring a cartoonist, bring your mom - all are welcome!!

What else is going on this month?!

While you’re at Paradigm for the Holiday Hang, check out the new exhibitions on the 1st and 2nd floors from Philadelphia artists!

No Garden (Keith Warren Greiman, Eric Kenney, and Max Seckel) features illustrative paintings challenging what makes a garden.

It's Always Today (Martha Rich) is a solo exhibition with “over 200 speech bubbles, animals, and objects, which illustrate the humor, enthusiasm, and attitude of the city and its inhabitants”.

The inimitable Exclamation Point! (hosted by jammer Marta Syrup) is back for another month of live comics readings! Part performance art, part circus, all joy - hear readings from a bunch of Philly cartoonists AND get in on the fun yourself through interactive elements and a ~white elephant~ gift exchange.

As always, local shop legends Partners & Son provide gifts galore with a slate of events all month long. Check out release parties, live performances, free eggnog(?!), the world’s cutest comics train, AND support this indie comics paradise as you shop for gifts this season!
